KANSAS CITY, March 2, 2026– Synergy Services, a non-profit social services agency serving the Greater Kansas City area, is pleased to announce the appointment of Kaki Conti as its new Chief Executive Officer, ushering in an exciting new chapter of leadership and continued commitment to strengthening families and empowering youth.
“After a thorough, consultant-led nationwide search and rigorous interview process, the Board of Directors unanimously selected Kaki Conti as our next CEO,” says Ryan Powell, Synergy’s Board Chair. “We are thrilled to have her leadership, and we know that she will help us continue the client-centered mission of ‘Safe Today Strong Tomorrow’ throughout the Kansas City region.”
As the former Vice President of Development for Synergy Services, Kaki Conti brings more than 30 years of experience leading teams and organizations through innovative growth. Before joining Synergy, she spent over three years with the United Way of Greater Kansas City and 27 years at Hallmark Cards, where she led diverse teams and strategic initiatives. During her time at Synergy, Kaki has championed efforts to stabilize critical funding for programs, helped establish the Children’s Services Fund in Platte County, and elevated community awareness of the organization’s mission and impact. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia Southern University.

I am fortunate to be working with some of the most talented and caring people in mental health services who do meaningful and lifesaving work every day for people in the Kansas City area. I look forward to continuing Synergy’s work of building communities free of family violence all across our region.”
A longtime advocate for youth and survivors of domestic violence, Kaki is deeply committed to strengthening families and ensuring safe, supportive communities. She and her husband, Chris Conti, have one son in college and two beloved pups. Outside of work, Kaki enjoys cooking, hiking, camping, and traveling both within the United States and abroad.
Kaki Conti will officially assume the role of Chief Executive Officer on March 30, with leadership transition efforts already underway to ensure continuity and stability across the organization. Current Executive Directors, Robin Winner and Dennis Meier, are working closely with Kaki during this transition period and will remain engaged in a consultant capacity through a date to be determined, providing guidance and institutional knowledge to support a seamless and thoughtful leadership handoff.
