If you are experiencing violence in your family, your safety is our top priority. We know how terrifying and impossible it may feel to flee an unsafe home. At Synergy Services, we provide immediate safety from domestic violence through our three emergency shelters and temporary housing programs in Kansas City.
Services are available to individuals and families of all genders, orientations, and backgrounds. We believe that everyone deserves to live in a world free from family violence, and we are committed to working towards that goal.
Get Emergency Shelter
Our emergency shelters in Kansas City offer a secure and confidential place for children and youth up to 17 years old, as well as adults and their children escaping domestic violence. Our trained staff provide round-the-clock support and assistance, including access to counseling, legal aid, and other resources.
We have three emergency shelters each designed to offer prioritized care for its residents. They include:
- The Isenberg Center- Synergy House (for Youth ages 12-17)
- Domestic Violence Center (for Individuals and Families)
- The Jennifer & Jamie Children's Center (for Individuals and Families)

Find Safe & Supportive Housing
After basic needs have been met, Synergy Services also offers long-term housing to create a stable home environment as domestic violence survivors and teens with unstable housing move to a place of healing. Our long-term housing program provides a safe and supportive community for survivors to rebuild their lives and gain independence.
It is designed to help unattached young adults and families succeed. Synergy provides furnished apartments along with case management, therapy, life skills training, education and employment support. We want to help you build resilience and find independence through these long-term supportive programs.
