Break the Cycle of Domestic Violence for Good
Change That Creates Strong Families and Safe Communities
Domestic violence is a devastating issue that affects families and communities worldwide. At Synergy Services, we believe in the power of change and the importance of breaking the cycle of domestic violence. Through our programs, we are helping children, individuals and families overcome the effects of violence to create strong, safe communities for generations to come.
Batterer's Intervention Program
The cycle of domestic violence is often generational. The Batterer’s Intervention Program is a nationally recognized program for individuals who have a history of being abusive to their intimate partner and/or children.
Through outpatient groups and individual services, the BIP Program aims to educate and help individuals who have been abusive as they explore issues of power and control to prevent future abuse. Â
Adverse Childhood Experiences
The ACE Study, conducted by the CDC and Kaiser, and subsequent research conclude that adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) impact the developing brain, affect long-term health and perpetuate through generations.
This data makes it easy to see how childhood experiences affect future behavior, health and opportunity. But we can prevent the negative effects of trauma from following children into adulthood. At Synergy, we work with children and teens every day who have experienced trauma. These programs create a powerful force for change.
