Domestic Violence Center


Youth Educational Advocate (PRN) -This position is responsible for providing a safe, structured, educational environment in a therapeutic setting. This position will help plan and facilitate educational activities for preschool aged youth and families residing at the Domestic Violence Center. In addition, this position will assist provide support and advocacy to clients and other duties as assigned. Position requires an Associates degree or equivalent from two year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. BS in Education or Social Service related field preferred. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be at least 21 years of age, pass a background check and Family Care Safety Registry screening, fingerprint screen, drug screen and have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance. Position requires CPR, Med Tech Certification and Chauffeur’s License within 30 days from the date of hire.

As a PRN, shifts are not guaranteed, but when available the shifts will typically be: Monday through Friday 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.  There is also an opportunity to cross-train as an advocate at our Children’s Center that is a 24/7 facility.
