Street Outreach/Youth Resiliency Center Program Manager

Street Outreach/Youth Resiliency Center

 

Program Manager - FT Position – This position will be responsible for planning, scheduling, assigning, training and directing of work of staff for the day-to-day operations of the Street Outreach, Safe Place and Youth Resiliency Center programs. Will address complaints and resolve problems of staff and clients as necessary. Will handle interviewing, disciplining, appraising performance and rewarding performance of assigned staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Models safe, respectful boundaries in accordance with Synergy Services, Inc. policies, procedures, and philosophies.

Directs the provision of treatment services for youth participating in the SOS and YRC programs.  Provides weekly one on one input to assigned staff.

Document client information in Client Progress Notes and files as needed.

Is first responder to hotline calls from street youth from the program cell phone and handles office voice mail as needed.

Assists with coordinating resources and services for street youth as needed.

Meets multiple times per week with youth on the street at designated locations to establish rapport.

Assist youth in locating assistance for shelter/housing, medical needs, clothing needs, resources, food, etc.  Must possess broad knowledge of community resources.

Facilitates transporting youth to appointments, group, or shelter.

 

Will work with the assistant program managers (APMs) to ensure the programs are running smoothly and effectively. Will assist as needed to recruit businesses for Safe Place sites, maintain the business contracts, coordinate signing of the contracts, provide updates to the business and maintains and updates procedures with business sites.

Works closely with Volunteer Coordinator to ensure needs are met for the programs.

Helps educate the public regarding SOS and YRC.

Serve as the liaison between the programs and the community.

Develops and maintains the SOP for the programs.

Conducts quarterly meetings with Safe Place Advisory Committee.

Writes a quarterly newsletter for volunteers, sites, and shelters.

Attends conferences and training on the Safe Place Project.

Notifies the development department when obtaining a new Safe Place site.

Maintains/Oversees monthly statistic records for Synergy Services and the National Safe Place offices. 

 

Ability to assess environmental safety and situational danger while implementing safety protocol.

Assists with assuring that adequate staffing levels occur by hiring programmatic staff. Documents personnel issues as necessary.

Assists with budgetary oversight for programmatic budget.

Develops and implements plans for staff development and training of new employees, students and volunteers.  Assures that critical learning and experience has been received by the end of the training.

Performs agency, business and school related groups and presentations for Street Outreach.

Networks with community and other organizations for resources.

Communicates consistently and regularly with YRC and SOS APM’s and staff; other agency staff and community partners.

Documents and follows all protocol per the Street Outreach and YRC SOPs, completing all logs and paperwork required for the program.  Must be organized and have excellent follow through with paperwork and requirements.

Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. All staff must be 21 years of age, pass a background check (Children’s Division/Central Registry/Child Abuse), drug screen, fingerprint screen, have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance. Position requires CPR, Med Tech Certification and Chauffeur’s License within 30 days from date of hire
