Children’s Center 

Backup Worker (weekends, days, evenings, overnights)on-call position. Back Up (PRN) staff will be in an on call status filling in as shifts are open due to full time, regular part time staff are out sick, on vacation, attending trainings, etc. There is no guarantee of hours of work per week as Back Up staff. Responsibilities include the direct, basic, day to day care of children from birth up to 18 years of age by implementing daily routines, activities, and providing a safe, structured, therapeutic environment for our clients. Prior experience working with young children and youth, especially homeless and/or at risk youth preferred. Having a knowledge of community resources is a plus. Bilingual Spanish-English preferred.  


We have a need for weekends, days, evenings, and overnight hours of work.  

Positions requires an Associates Degree or equivalent from two year college or technical school; or at least one year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field such as psychology, social work, or other social services field preferred. Prefer prior experience in a social service agency and/or working with abused, at risk children and youth. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age, consent to a Fingerprinting and Background and checks and Children’s Division (Central Registry/Child Abuse) screening, drug screen check and have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance. Position First Aid/CPR Certification, Medical Technician certification and a Class E/Chauffeur’s License within 30 days from date of hire.
