Synergy Services is a not-for-profit 501(C)3 organization that depends on the support of caring individuals, corporations and civic groups to donate dollars, and in-kind gifts of goods or services to help women and youth in crisis. Tax-deductible donations are greatly needed and appreciated. Missouri Domestic Violence Shelter Tax Credits are also available for gifts of $100 or more directed toward Synergy's SafeHaven Shelters.

Give A Financial Gift
Your gift to Synergy Services, Inc. helps provide a SafeHaven for a battered woman and her children, a Safe Place for a youth in crisis, a Mentor to a young mother or an at-risk child, and education for school-children. Your donation provides advocates in area courts and hospitals and professional therapists for group, individual and crisis-intervention counseling. So please consider making a donation today to help make our community become Safe Today and Strong Tomorrow.
Your gift will provide:
| $50 will provide one hour of play therapy for an abused child. |

teen at Synergy House. |
| $75 will help a homeless teen develop life-skills in transitional living. |

Friends Of Synergy (FOS)
FOS is a membership-based organization founded to provide support and advocacy for Synergy Services, Inc. Benefits of membership include support of the agency's important mission, discounts to Synergy events, a Synergy lapel pin, and Friends of Synergy membership certificate and e-mail notification of upcoming events.
Membership fee is $50.00 a year for individual membership and $85.00 per year for a dual membership. To join FOS or for additional information, call us at (816)

Missouri Domestic Violence Shelter Tax Credit
Who: Individuals, Corporations, Partnerships, S Corporations, Express Companies or L.L.C.'s that have a Missouri income tax liability are eligible for Domestic Violence Shelter Tax Credits.
How: A donation of $100 or more to Synergy's Domestic Violence programs allows the donor the opportunity to utilize all standard deductions for charitable contributions. In addition he or she may claim Missouri Domestic Violence Tax Credits. These tax credits allow the donor to deduct 50% of his or her total donation to Synergy directly from his or her Missouri State taxes. The donor requests a tax credit
letter from the State for 50% of his or her donation to use as direct payment toward Missouri state taxes. For example, a donor of $1000 will be able to take a Federal and State tax donation from their tax return. In addition, they may request through Synergy a Missouri Domestic Violence Tax Credit and thereby receive a
letter for $500 that may be used to pay for taxes owed. The credit is available annually and may be retained for up to five years.
What: Eligible contributions are cash, stocks, bonds, other marketable securities, buildings, or land totaling $100.00 or more designated to SafeHaven with in a taxable year.

In-Kind Gifts of Goods or Services
Used donations of clothing, household items, toys, books, appliances and furniture are accepted at Synergy In Style Thrift Store located at 6571 N. Oak Trafficway (Gladstone Plaza) (816) 468-0404. New donations should be dropped off at the Administration Building, 400 E. 6th St. in Parkville, MO (816) 587-4100.
Since Synergy's residents often arrive at shelter with only the clothes on their backs, new personal care items are always needed. Please donate items such as:
- Hair Care Products (Shampoo, Conditioner, Combs and Brushes for all hair types)
- Hygiene Products (Soap, Deodorant, Diapers, Feminine Hygiene Products Toothbrushes and Toothpaste, Kleenex)
- Personal Products (Socks, Underwear in all sizes, Tylenol for Adults and Children)
- Household Items (Bath Towels, Twin Size Blankets, Sheets, Pillows, Mattress Pads, Bathroom Rugs and Laundry Soap)
Office supplies provide budgetary relief as does donated printing,
building maintenance, and coffee packets for
commercial coffeemakers. Please call before
bringing a quantity of such items.

Volunteer Your Time
Adult and youth volunteers can help by providing direct client services in our shelters, mentoring programs, assisting in our administrative office, or helping with special events.
