Therapist – (1) FT (will be part of on-call rotation) and must be flexible with schedule to include some evening and/or weekend hours as required. Position will provide both residential and outpatient therapy services. Serves as part of treatment team providing assessment and counseling services (individual, family and group) in the Children’s Center shelter. This position will provide direct clinical counseling services of at least 23 hours per week. The direct clinical counseling services include assessment (initial assessment, testing or other assessment) and treatment (individual therapy, group therapy, art therapy, play therapy and psycho educational groups) with designated populations. This position will also coordinate campus groups as required. Manages cases including planning, coordination of care, community referral and treatment reports. Case management includes networking with mental health agencies and the Children’s Division of the State of Missouri, coordinating services representing additional or different services as needed.
Position requires Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, marriage and family or related field. Missouri license preferred. Experience in residential trauma therapy preferred. Prior experience working with victims of domestic violence preferred. Must be at least 21 years of age, pass a drug, fingerprinting and TB test, background check and have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance. Position requires CPR, Med Tech Certification, and Chauffeur’s License within 30 days from date of hire.
