Client Advocate – 1 FT Position – Hours worked are Monday-Friday 2pm-10pm and some weekend shifts as needed for coverage. Position will provide advocacy, crisis intervention, in-home life skills training and support to young adults ages 18 and up who were homeless, have disabilities and have entered the Permanent Supportive Housing Program. Will follow Standard Operating Procedures for site in day-to-day responsibilities and steps in for case manager as needed. Maintains organization of donations, supplies and apartment essentials/equipment, and inventory. Provides child care to program children during groups when not facilitating. Applicants must pass Truman Medical Center screening and complete contractually required flu shot and TMC training. Position requires an Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be at least 21 years of age, pass a background check and have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance. Position requires CPR and Chauffeur’s License.
