Permanent Housing Program
The permanent housing program is designed to help unattached young adults and young families succeed by removing the anxiety and daily struggle of surviving without a stable home.
Through the program, Synergy provides 12 furnished apartments to homeless young people aged 18-24 or homeless young families. In addition to housing, Synergy offers services including case management, therapy, life skills training, education and employment support to help clients become self-sufficient within 24 months. Once a client can afford to maintain the apartment independently, Synergy invests the resources into a new apartment and a new client.
One client currently housed has hopes of becoming a certified nursing assistant. Fleeing domestic violence, she came to Synergy with her two young children and a third child on the way. Having a safe place for her and her family to live paired with supportive services to help with quality child care and job training has made all the difference for this young woman. Her hopes are now plans—her dreams are now achievable.
When people believe they have a future, their whole outlook changes. Synergy is excited to be part of that transformation, and to help these young people become stable, contributing members of our community.
You can be part of the solution! Your contribution helps provide the services that put clients in the permanent housing program on the path to self-sufficiency.
