Children's Advocacy Center
1,500 children die every year from child abuse and neglect. That is just over four fatalities every day.
Our Children’s Advocacy Center is designed to provide a child-friendly environment which is sensitive to the needs of children who disclose sexual abuse, severe physical abuse or who have witnessed a homicide or abuse of another.
Trained interviewers conduct one forensic interview in collaboration with local law enforcement agencies. Information from this interview can be utilized by all investigative parties, which reduces trauma to the child by decreasing the number of times a child is asked to retell their story. Therapeutic counseling and referrals for other needed services are also available.
